Based on the response we got from yesterdays blog post, we thought we had better address buying a new home in Tooele UT.
We pointed out that because of the lack of marketable pre owned homes, over 40% of all of the homes listed for sale on the MLS are new construction homes. You can see Tooele new home listings here.
Buyers are buying Spec homes, ( homes started on speculation w/out a buyer under contract) houses where the buyer purchases a lot and selects a plan from those that the builder features, and has built before. Often times location (lot selection) is limited by the footprint of the plan selected. Or maybe I should say that the reverse is true.
